Bring an OpenRouter, Nano-GPT, or DeepSeek key, pick the models you actually want, and chat right here in your browser. CardChan encrypts your key, never shows the saved key back to anyone — including you — and lets you delete it whenever.

The CardChan part is free. Your provider may still charge for the model calls you make, so you stay in charge of the tab instead of buying mystery site credits.

DeepSeek's v4 models are text-only here. For vision or image generation, bring a provider and model that support pictures.

Put up to four characters in one room, then invite up to three other humans to join you. Everybody gets their own private room persona, their own unread marker, and their own chance to say “no wait, let HER answer this one.”

Robot replies run on the key of the person who asks for them, so one friend is not quietly paying for everybody's plot twist. The room stays private, and chats containing other people's writing cannot be published or exported until everybody has a real consent flow. Your friends' words are not party favors.

Ask the robots to turn the scene, a character, an object, or your own prompt into an image without leaving the chat. You can let a text model draft the art prompt, edit it before painting, pick the image model, and reroll when the lighting is giving “dentist office.”

Chat images use your own provider key: normally one text call to draft and one image call to paint. Bring an image-capable model first; nothing spends behind your back.

VIP and Mythic members can opt in to automatic character generation. CardChan uses the approved SFW tags in your taste profile to make original surprise cards, runs them through the usual review, and slips the matches into a private lane in your swipe deck.

CardChan covers these robot calls. It never feeds your private chats, DMs, identity, or API key into the recipe, and every generated character is SFW and 21+. Turn it off anytime and no new surprise cards will be made for you.
